The CMCP Certification Program enables industry workers to gain portable credentials that are recognized by industry employers throughout the country. These credentials, which belong to the certified workers themselves, provide a way to demonstrate, and for employers to verify, their skills in a variety of mining occupations. The Worker Certification System also includes mechanisms for prior-learning assessments and foreign-credentials recognition—vital tools that make it possible for mining companies to quickly access and employ workers from outside the industry and outside of Canada. |
